GERONTOLOGICAL AND GERIATRIC NURSING
This master's degree aims to enable the student to:
- To identify and analyse the specific responsibilities and functions of the nurse in the field of geriatrics in order to act effectively and efficiently in the organization of teamwork in geriatric and socio-healthcare centers.
- Develop, implement and evaluate care plans taking into account the needs of the geriatric patient and family, as well as the characteristics of the environment.
- Analyze efficiency and site assessment indicators to ensure quality of care and patient safety. - Design programs to promote healthy aging and prevention plans for the detection of fragile patients and/or patients at risk.
Teaching
- Theoretical: From October to June. Thursdays from 9 am to 1.30 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.
- Practice: From October to May. Monday to Friday (except Thursdays) in morning or afternoon shifts.
Internships are planned on an individual basis, taking into account, whenever possible, the needs of each student.
In the event that professional experience can be demonstrated within the scope of the programme, the management of the Centre can recognise that the curricular internships have been surpassed.
