GERONTOLOGICAL AND GERIATRIC NURSING

This master's degree aims to enable the student to:

- To identify and analyse the specific responsibilities and functions of the nurse in the field of geriatrics in order to act effectively and efficiently in the organization of teamwork in geriatric and socio-healthcare centers.

- Develop, implement and evaluate care plans taking into account the needs of the geriatric patient and family, as well as the characteristics of the environment.

- Analyze efficiency and site assessment indicators to ensure quality of care and patient safety. - Design programs to promote healthy aging and prevention plans for the detection of fragile patients and/or patients at risk.

 

Teaching

-Theoretical-practical classes from 09/30/2021 to 03/31/2022 and from 05/19/2022 to 06/02/2022.

-On-site hours from 8.30 a.m. to 1 p.m., it can be followed exceptionally online (with attendance control).

-Online classes from 3pm to 6pm, you can monitor the online classes live or delayed.

-Clinical practices from November 2021 to May 2022. From Monday to Friday (except Thursday) in morning or afternoon shifts.

The practices are planned individually taking into account, whenever possible, the needs of each student. In the event that a professional experience in the field of the program can be demonstrated, the management of the Center can recognize as passed the curricular practices.
