GERONTOLOGICAL AND GERIATRIC NURSING
This master's degree aims to enable the student to:
- To identify and analyse the specific responsibilities and functions of the nurse in the field of geriatrics in order to act effectively and efficiently in the organization of teamwork in geriatric and socio-healthcare centers.
- Develop, implement and evaluate care plans taking into account the needs of the geriatric patient and family, as well as the characteristics of the environment.
- Analyze efficiency and site assessment indicators to ensure quality of care and patient safety. - Design programs to promote healthy aging and prevention plans for the detection of fragile patients and/or patients at risk.
Teaching
- Theoretical and practical classes from 09/21/2023 to 06/06/2024. Thursday mornings from 8.30am to 1.30pm and 3 hours a week of tutored methodology and independent work prior to the theoretical and practical classes.
- Clinical practices from November 2023 to May 2024. From Monday to Friday (except Thursdays) in morning or afternoon shifts.
The practices are planned individually taking into account, whenever possible, the needs of each student. In the event that a professional experience in the field of the program can be demonstrated, the management of the Center can recognize as passed the curricular practices.
