The University Nursing School of the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (EUI-Sant Pau) follows the instructions issued by the Department of Health, the Public Health Agency, the Ministry of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, the Hospital's FGS of the Santa Creu i Sant Pau and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), which maintain the currently applicable individual protection and security measures to face the Covid-19 pandemic.

Given the high possibility that the situation of confinement of the population will extend beyond the Easter holidays and that the resumption of activity should be done progressively, the UAB Government Team, together with the addresses of all The centers end the face-to-face teaching of the second semester of the 2019-2020 academic year and agree that all the teaching activity during will continue in virtual or remote format.

The EUI-Sant Pau is immersed in the hard task of giving a quick answer to the questions that this complicated situation raises; among others, to abruptly make the transition from face-to-face teaching to online teaching. In this sense, our objective has been to find mechanisms to guarantee the continuity of all the students in the monitoring of teaching and its corresponding evaluation.

Pending the general indications of the UAB Governing Team, the EUI-Sant Pau Management Team is working on future actions, framed at the end of the course, to give guarantees to students, teachers and administration staff and services, which directly or indirectly support academic activity.

I do not want to end without wishing a quick recovery to those who have become ill or who have close people affected by the disease.
